Sindh Assembly Rejected the MDCAT
A few days ago, the Sindh Assembly rejected the MDCAT 2020 result due to the various irregularities. In the assembly, Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho talked about this matter. She stated that the federal government made the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) without the consultation of the provincial government.
Sindh Health Minister Statements
Dr Azra stated that in the past, the government allowed the provinces to conduct tests for medical colleges. But this year, only PMC conducted the test for all provinces with great irregularities. Thus, the health minister said that the federal minister can’t impose PMC on us.
She also talked about the topic of the MDCAT 2020 exam. She stated that before conducting the exam, PMC assured that the exam will be from a common syllabus. But there are a lot of questions that were not from the syllabus. Other than that, PMC prepared the test from the federal syllabus.
On this issue, she further said that this year PMC also not issued that answer keys like the previous years. Through answer keys, students can see the mistakes and that was a transparent method. As students were able to estimate their marks before the result.
Opposition Lawmaker (PTI)
During the session, PTI lawmaker defends the federal government. On this, the minister questioned this loyalty towards Sindh. She asked him to go to Islamabad to support the Federal Government.
Similarly, a lot of other members of the assembly were on the side of Sindh Health minister except PTI lawmaker.
