The United States has passed a Pakistani woman favored act “Malala Yousafzai Scholarship Act”. The act was signed by Donald Trump at the White House on 13th January 2021. The law was passed by Congress in a vote on January 1, 2021. Since 2010, USAID scholarships have funded more than 6,000 women pursuing higher education in Pakistan. It was originally decided by the US House of Representatives in March 2020.
Under Malala Yosafzai Scholarship Act, the US Agency of International Development USAID will announce to award 50 percent merit and scholarship programs for Pakistani women across Pakistan. The United States government has approved the new program after inspecting all school districts in the country and measuring them against national standards.
USAID also has to improve and increase access to education programs in Pakistan as per the details of the bill, benefiting from investments by the Pakistani private sector and Pakistanis abroad in the United States.
